We welcome proposals that align with our commitment to craft, material knowledge, learning and cultural exchange. Whether you are a seasoned teaching artist with a developed workshop, a cultural practitioner carrying forward traditional knowledge, or an organization looking to co-create something with roots in community, we would love to hear more about you.

  • Collaboration Partnership

    Revenue Share & Collective Collaboration

    Collaborations may take the form of a single workshop or a series of sessions, a community-centered event, or a deeper co-created partnership.

    We work in partnership with facilitators, teaching artists, and cultural practitioners whose work aligns with BLJ's mission of connecting people, plants, and places through craft traditions, holistic earth practice and cultural histories and techniques.

    This includes community-centered programming & collaborative public events.

  • ALT Color Lab Collaboration

    Product Development & Consulting

    If you are exploring plant-based dyes, natural pigments, or sustainable material processes, BLJ/Alt Color Lab is open to working in collaboration with artists and makers interested in small-batch production development.

    BLJ also offers consulting for individuals, artists, organizations, and facilitators seeking guidance related to natural dye processes, plant knowledge, harvesting methods, garden development, workshop design, and other areas connected to BLJ’s material research and teaching practice.

  • Studio Rental

    Independent Studio Rental

    This option is best suited for facilitators who prefer full control over registration, pricing, participant communication, and overall workshop administration.

    For facilitators who already have an established audience, independent registration systems, or external organizational support, and simply need access to the space to host their offering.

Intended for individuals, artists, organizations, and facilitators seeking focused guidance, technical exchange, or collaborative development through consulting and or product development collaborations that are connected to natural dye processes, plant knowledge, material testing, and related forms of production
