Fine Surinamese Wood Carving
As an artist, Adiante is an experienced Surinamese wood carver. Trained by master wood carvers in Suriname, a beautiful and historically fascinating country, he personally designs and produces one-of-a-kind furniture, jewelry, and display pieces. His assembled wood designs do not use screws or nails; instead, he uses an elegant form of traditional Surinamese dowel joinery. The designs he creates are elegant, simple, and pure to his heritage.

Her furniture is based on the dogma that form follows function, with simple straight lines and elegant curves formed using traditional furniture-making techniques in domestic hardwoods and plywood. Each bandsaw box is cut from a stack of laminated blocks of locally sourced domestic hardwood and finished with milk paint and Danish oil. No two are alike.
