Alchemy of Color with Rosina Saqib
(3-day Workshop)

Teaching artist, quilter, and natural dyer Rosina Saqib is offering a two-part workshop series on quilting with naturally dyed fabric.  Designed as two complementary learning experiences.

In the first part of the series, students will create a palette of multi-dimensional autumnal color, gaining a deep understanding of the relationship between tannins, mordants, dyes, exhaust baths, and post-dye modifiers on cellulose (plant) fiber.  Using cutch as our primary dye material, we will create a range of tones from cinnamon to chocolate brown to caramel and peach.
