Bouquet Making: Sharing Spring Blossoms is a hands-on floral workshop that highlights seasonal flowers, local farms, and the act of sharing beauty within a community. Centered on making two arrangements, one to take home and one to share with neighbors near Blue Light Junction, the gathering celebrates working with what is grown nearby and passing it along with care.
In collaboration with Local Color Flowers, owner Ellen Frost guides participants through the fundamentals of working with locally grown flowers, including stem preparation and the basic elements of floral design. Participants create simple arrangements using local flowers and foliage while learning practical tips for caring for cut flowers and extending their life.
Flowers are sourced from Hillen Homestead, Two Boots Farm, and other local farms, grounding the workshop in regional growing practices and the rhythms of spring.
