SEEDS GUARDIANS
August 8, 2026
The garden’s in full bloom, and the bees and pollinators are loving it — one small piece of the ecosystem that urban gardens bring back to cities through the steady work of many hands. Last week, we harvested calendula and madder seeds - two dye plants that offer us two ends of the warm spectrum: reds drawn from madder roots and yellows from calendula flowers.
This is the season we've been tending toward and we hope you'll find your way to the garden and studio this month as we move through the end of our summer and the beginning of a full programming cycle. And for those who can't make it just yet, the work continues all year round. There is always something growing at the studio and its doors are always open.
